Melania Trump, 56, Steps Out at UFC Freedom 250 in an Edgy Leather Look — And the Photos Have Everyone Talking About More than the Outfit

The 56-year-old First Lady of the United States arrived at UFC Freedom 250 in a sleek ensemble, but as photos spread online, attention quickly shifted to her face, with some commenters reviving long-running speculation about cosmetic procedures.

Melania Trump's appearance at UFC Freedom 250 drew attention for one reason at first: the look. But as photos and a video from the event spread online, the conversation quickly shifted from her outfit to her face.

On June 14, 2026, Melania stepped onto the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C., alongside President Donald Trump, wearing a fitted black dress, black pointed-toe heels, and a leather jacket draped over her shoulders.

The styling gave the outfit a sharper edge than her more traditional public looks. A silver cross necklace stood out against the black fabric, while her long, highlighted hair was worn loose in soft waves.

Hola! USA described the appearance as "striking" in its Instagram post, while The US Sun called it an "edgy leather look" in its Facebook video coverage.

The photos soon sparked a wave of reactions, with many commenters focusing on Melania's appearance.

On Instagram, some users praised Melania's styling. One user wrote, "Love it. Very stunning. Elegant." Another said, "Most beautiful first lady ever❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️." A third added, "No other like her!!! Best First Lady Ever!!!"

Other commenters focused less on the outfit and more on her facial appearance. A third wrote, "Another nose job." Another said, "It's noticeable... too much botox."

The discussion gained momentum on Facebook as viewers reacted to video from the event. Some users commented on the accessories. "That necklace is trying to escape," one person wrote. Another said, "Nice cross. A bit too tight?!"

Others made more pointed remarks about her appearance. One commenter wrote, "Looking like him more and more." Another added, "She's looking just like him." A different user remarked, "Her eyes are not aligned," while another asked, "Where are her teeth."

Some comments directly referenced long-running speculation about cosmetic procedures. "And she said she's never had any work done....okay!" one Facebook user wrote.

The criticism was not limited to her face. Someone else reacted, "The look of his face when he looked at her. 🤢," while another criticized the outfit, "Dressed like a woman of the night!! #streetwalker."

The comments highlighted the wide range of reactions to the photos. Rather than focusing on a single aspect of the appearance, users discussed the outfit, accessories, styling, and Melania's facial features.

Melania has addressed cosmetic surgery rumors before. In a 2016 interview with GQ, she denied having cosmetic work done.

"I didn't make any changes," she told the magazine. "A lot of people say I am using all the procedures for my face. I didn't do anything. I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body."

She also rejected cosmetic procedures. "I'm against Botox, I'm against injections; I think it's damaging your face, damaging your nerves," she said. "It's all me. I will age gracefully, as my mom does."

In the same interview, GQ described Melania's lifestyle during her years in New York as disciplined and health-focused.

According to the magazine, she regularly exercised, ate fruit daily, and followed a consistent skincare routine. Friends also described her as someone who preferred quiet evenings and rarely participated in New York's nightlife scene.

Public interest in Melania's appearance has also led one cosmetic expert to compare older and more recent photos.

In a YouTube video, plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov, who is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, reviewed images from different stages of her life and pointed to several features he described as part of her natural appearance.

Looking at a photo from 1987, when Melania was 17 years old, he noted that she had "full eyebrows" and eyes that appeared "more almond-shaped."

He also said the tip of her nose showed "some natural bulbosity" and highlighted her prominent cheekbones and jawline as signs of strong facial bone structure.

When Dr. Gary examined photos from 2022, he observed that "Melania's jawline looks a bit smoother" and that her neck appeared tighter than in some earlier images.

He said a facelift was one possible explanation, but cautioned against drawing firm conclusions from photographs alone. "So perhaps she had a facelift, though it's not completely clear," Dr. Gary said.

He explained that because her hair often covers her ears in photos, it is difficult to evaluate features that surgeons typically examine when assessing whether a facelift may have occurred.

Dr. Gary also suggested that non-surgical treatments could potentially account for some of the changes he observed.

"So it's possible that she may have had a facelift, but it's also possible that she may have had a non-surgical procedure, such as a skin-tightening, say, radio frequency procedure," he said.

Ultimately, Dr. Gary stressed that the available images do not provide enough evidence to determine whether any cosmetic procedures took place.

When examining photos of Melania in recent years, Dr. Gary said, "In 2023, at the age of 53, I see no change, and that's the same through 2024."

The differing reactions to Melania's UFC Freedom 250 appearance reflect a debate that has followed her for years. Supporters pointed to her polished styling and appearance, while critics questioned whether cosmetic procedures may have played a role in her look.

Yet despite the speculation, neither social media commentary nor photo comparisons can determine with certainty whether any procedures took place. As Dr. Gary noted, photographs alone have limitations, leaving much of the discussion open to interpretation.
