As tensions between rappers T.I and Kodak Black intensify, the “project baby” has now released a new diss track against the self-titled King of the South. Tiny Harris, T.I’s wife, was caught in the crossfire, as Black slandered her with his disrespectful lyrics.
It’s been a few weeks since Kodak Black was slammed on social media for his insensitive comments about Lauren London in the wake of her boyfriend Nipsey Hussle's sudden death, earning an earful from T.I for his behavior.
Now, after being enrolled in a social media back and forth with T.I over the past days, Kodak released a diss track titled “Expeditiously,” which references the words Tip used to demand an apology from him.
In the track, Kodak throws several jabs against T.I, calling him a snitch and bragging about having a better rap style.
Black also aimed at T.I’s wife, Tiny Harris, in the song. He called her “ugly” and compared her to Miss Piggy.
Fans of the “T.I & Tiny: Family Hustle” stars are now calling for people to “cancel” Black. However, opinions are mixed when it comes to the dispute, as fans of the rapper are praising him for not “bowing down” to T.I just because he’s been long in the game.
“The ignorance of this younger generation. We talk about black unity and laugh and giggle at buffoonery like this? Kodak black is a damn clown. Stop listening to this type of music that does nothing but tear us down as a community,” wrote one user.
Another added, “This disrespect to his wife shouldn't be tolerated period.. when they say keep women and kids out of it then KEEP WOMEN AND KIDS OUT OF IT period!!!”
A third one had a different point of view, saying, “One thing I will say is Kodak don’t back down from nothing or nobody, and I can only respect that part of him.”
“This man came for Kodak EACH TIME & Kodak responded EACH TIME so why everyone mad? Yall wanted that man to bow down & he didn't. I'm over it either way,” another agreed.
Only a few days after Nipsey Hussle’s murder, Kodak Black made an Instagram Live while hanging out with some of his friends, and he could be heard talking about London as if she was his "target,” stating his intentions to pursue her now that she’s a “whole widow.”
Black’s comments earned the ire not only of Nipsey’s fans but also from several personalities in the hip-hop industry, including rappers The Game and T.I. Both called out Black through Instagram, asking him to apologize for his disrespectful comments.
"I owe [Nipsey] that same respect. I owe him that same respect, so I'ma go hard.”
“Hey, Kodak Black: You outta pocket, n***a. Fix that s**t—quickly, expeditiously," Tip said in an Instagram video. "[...] If I see you, I’ma say it to your face. You outta pocket, n***a. Get your motherf*****’ self together."
“Man, listen: I said what I said. Y'all tryin' to misconstrue what I said. [...]I don't give a f*** what y'all talkin' about," Kodak said. "T.I., man, I don't care. I'm in Georgia right now."
A few days later, Kodak apologized to London, but no one believed his words were sincere.
T.I explained his reason for going so hard about schooling Black was because he owed that to Nipsey and if the tables were turned, the late Crenshaw rapper would have done the same.
“If a motherf***a were to speak out and say something out of line about my old lady after my untimely demise, I feel like he [Nipsey] ain’t just gonna speak up, he gonna pull up." He continued: "I owe [Nipsey] that same respect. I owe him that same respect, so I'ma go hard.”
The King of the South also shared with fans a snippet from an unreleased song in which he seemed to be referencing the issue with Black.
"I’m conditioned to see the vision, you/I don’t care if you’re 81 or 22/All that back and forth finna get into," Tip raps in the clip. "I said what I said, and I meant it too [...] N**ga took it too far, better slow down/Your belief becomes your thoughts, then your thoughts become your word."
Neither T.I or Tiny have addressed Black’s diss track.
