"Spotted in NY: Dr. Richard Burke and Monica Teller saying hi to one another. Shook. What will Chandler say?" Oshry captioned the video.
In the clip, Cox can be seen reaching up and giving Selleck a long embrace. The pair, who played Monica and Richard, keep their arms around one another and keep talking.
Cox, who appeared in films like "November," "Zoom," and "The Longest Yard" after the end of "Friends," was all smiles for much of the interaction.
The video rapidly turned into a web sensation, with thousands of people enjoying and sharing it.
One fan wrote: "I'll probably get ugly replies. However, I wish Monica & Richard would of gotten married instead. Richard was more mature for her as a man. Monica starting acting immature when she was with Chandler. Monica deserved better & that was not Chandler."
"Omg why do steeny things happen when the show takes a hiatus," added another.
"WOW. This is amazing," commented another fan.
