Prince Louis shakes grandpa Charles’ hand in brand new family photo with mother Kate

A rare new photo of Prince Louis is released in conjunction with his grandfather, Prince Charles' 70th birthday.

Since the birth of Prince Louis in April not many pictures of him have been released, given the private nature of parents Kate and Prince William, it’s not surprising.

But a recent photo, taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson got released to coincide with the latest BBC documentary about the royals named ‘Prince, Son, and Heir: Charles at 70’ to celebrate Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.

The adorable picture captures a moment between little Prince Louis and his grandfather Prince Charles as a tiny hand holds onto the hand of Prince Charles as he lovingly looks down onto his grandson while in the arms of Kate.

Looking dashing in his blue pinstripe suit with a pink shirt and patterned tie Prince Charles is all smiles with baby Louis looking adorable in his white top and blue shorts while mum Kate looks stylish in a navy polka dot dress and smokey makeup.

After the birth of Prince Louis, the Royal Cambridge’s grew to a family of five. Prince George Alexander Louis was born in 2013 and is the eldest of the three siblings.

He was followed by Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana born in 2015, the only daughter of Kate and Prince William and fourth in line of succession to the throne.

This makes 6-month-old Prince Louis the youngest of the siblings and was first seen in public seven hours after his birth outside St. Mary’s Hospital Lindo Wing. Prince Louis is also fifth in the line of succession of the throne.

The little prince was last photographed when Kate and Prince William went to London ahead of a state banquet with the Dutch royal family when he turned six months old.

The doting parents arrived by helicopter at Kensington Palace and a royal fan took a video of them exiting the helicopter and walking over the lawn with baby Louis. Prior to that, the only times the little Prince had been photographed was at his christening and shortly after his birth.
